 How I Met Pragyan: The Unlikely Friendship That Changed Everything


Friendships often begin in the most unexpected ways, and my friendship with Pragyan is a perfect example. We first met back in high school, when we were paired up for a science project. On paper, we seemed like an unlikely duo: I was the energetic, spontaneous type who loved to dive into big ideas, while Pragyan was the quiet, detail-oriented guy who preferred a more calculated approach. But little did we know, this partnership would grow into one of the most meaningful friendships of my life.


The First Encounter


Our first real interaction happened during the project on volcanoes. I came up with the idea to make the volcano erupt with firecrackers, smoke, and lights, while Pragyan just wanted to stick with the classic baking soda and vinegar method. I could see the hesitation in his eyes when I pitched my crazy idea, but something about his thoughtful nature made me think he’d secretly be up for the challenge.


Despite his doubts, Pragyan agreed to join me in my bold experiment, and we spent hours putting together our "volcano." I knew right away that this was going to be one of those moments where our very different personalities would clash, but somehow, it worked. When the firecrackers went off and the volcano erupted with smoke and foam, Pragyan freaked out at first, but then laughed as he saw the reaction from the class. That day, I realized how great it was to have someone like Pragyan by my side—not just for the project, but for the long haul.


Pragyan and I had always been competitive, but it was our love for basketball and video games that really brought us closer. One afternoon, after a tough basketball game where neither of us could make a shot, we decided to head back to my place for nba2k session to unwind.


One time Pragyan and I decided to binge-watch Friends together. We’d always enjoyed sitcoms, but watching an entire season in one go was a new experience for both of us. As we settled in, the humor of the show instantly clicked, and we found ourselves laughing at the most absurd moments—like Joey’s “How you doin’?” or Chandler’s sarcastic one-liners.


In the end, it’s not about the perfect punchlines or flawless timing—it’s about the laughter shared, the comfort of knowing someone has your back, and the knowledge that no matter how chaotic life gets, there’s always a friend nearby with a perfectly timed joke to make everything better.
